About Me / DT Leatherworks

I've been doing leather and metal work for about 6 years. Until recently my metalwork was more or less on the back burner until i got the leather working portion of my business back up and running

While I've been using the name Drayke T'slo Leatherworks™ for about 5-6 years, along with with my artist name Drayke T'slo; I officially founded the business in February of 2010. I'm in the process of also officially creating DT Metalworks aka Drayke T'slo Metalworks as its own stand alone business. Currently DT Metalworks is a sub division of DT Leatherworks. If theres one thing I've found over the years, metalworking increases the number of exquisite things one can make, combined fine leatherworking you'll be sure to see new and unique items pop up in my shop at a frequent interval

Drayke T'slo Leatherworks is 100% Veteran Owned and Operated. I'm sure there some paper work i need to fill out with some organization to be on someones list as a veteran owned business; but I know I'm a veteran - so i really don't care... maybe when I'm old and broke ass I''ll file- then i can go for "Disabled Veteran Small Owned Business" hahaha☺

...Anyway, I have kind of a rash sense of humor at times, And I'm find myself often sarcastic,  It may take away from a level of professionalism from my website, but on the flip I find it has more of a personal feel - unlike large corporations trying to sell you their slave labored garbage.

I enjoy making a little bit of everything in the leather and metal world, and I understand everyone wants something differently -so I try to keep up with a variety of styles. In general I accommodate my clients as best as I can with the means that have.  A majority of my work is 100% handmade, untouched by manufacturing line. For metal work the only machine I use is a rotary tool, mainly to drill starter holes to place rivets, start a design, or do some last minute polishing.(if your into making jewelry its must have) That's about the only "machine" you'll find in my shop, rest is all hand tools.

...With all that said , I'm not going completely limit myself in the future to just that, machines do have their place- even in the hand made world. In the near future i would like to get a with a machinist- preferably local, so i can start producing some even more unique designs, particularly in the body jewelry department.

Anyway thanks for stopping by, my temporary site is still a little under construction - its a work in progress waiting to happen☺
